This film offers a good overview of what defines diversity and how issues of diversity impact an organization. Designed as an overview, it emphasizes the need for top-level buy-in and support. This film makes it clear that embracing one another's differences is what will make an organization strong enough to succeed in today's competitive marketplace.

Program II: Gender & Sexual Orientation Workplace Issues
This film brings out interesting points about gender and sexual orientation in the workplace and how understanding and respect are the first steps toward valuing a diverse workforce. It also touches upon the legal ramifications of sexual and gender harassment. I liked the way employees candidly spoke about their experiences and experts assessed the situations.

Program III: Race, Ethnicity, Language & Religion Workplace Issues
Employees' personal stories directly address stereotypes and will likely leave viewers thinking about them after the film has finished. Experts weigh in on popular stereotypes as well as workplace scenarios. I especially like the three-way employee dialogues and the expert assessments that follow.

Program IV: Age and Physical Ability Workplace Issues
The fourth part of The Diversity Series, this film discusses age and physical ability in the workplace. Most people don't try to be disrespectful or go out of their way to allow unfair stereotypes to guide their thinking. This film, however, shows us how frequently that's the case when dealing with older people, younger people, or people with a physical disability. Experts point out the stereotypes and true-life employee testimonials make the scenarios feel even more real.
