I really like this video. Its straightforward and powerful message has the potential to positively impact both the workplace and one's everyday life. Ken Blanchard outlines three simple concepts that focus on connecting and building positive relationships to get results. The video is set in SeaWorld, in Orlando, FL, where the animal trainers explain how they use these principles to train their killer whales. The parallels between trainer and whale and manager and employee are clearly illustrated throughout the video. The footage from SeaWorld is a pleasure to watch.

Well done production. I watched the entire preview.
The area that could have been more clear was the transition from the Whale training to human training. The script was almost identical for both segment openings and I thought the show had restarted. A little bit of explanation about the "roadmap" of where the production was going or what the segments were would have helped me in my confusion.
The examples were excellent. Thanks for the opportunity to preview it.

Ken Blanchard knows how to connect with people, just as the trainers at Sea World do with the killer whales. I have seen him a half-dozen times in seminars and he touches the heart with his stories and analogies, always bringing a laugh or a tear. People "get it" immediately because his focus is always on the most basic of human qualities. This video hits the mark and will definitely "warm up" the room, making it easy to follow with a short discussion on the "how-to" aspect of implementing the principles in Whale Done. By the way, if you haven't ever read or heard Blanchard's treatment on servant leadership, I would highly recommend it for anybody who leads a team, unit, department or other. Do I seem like a Ken Blanchard fan? You bet I am.
