Painless Performance Improvement
Program length: 23:00

Have you ever given up on a poorly performing team member?  Are you trying to manage a team member's bad attitude?

Real change only happens when the decision to change comes from the person doing the changing. Painless Performance Improvement provides managers with a simple and proven technique to help team members improve their own poor performance without the drama, pain or conflict often associated with performance issues.

Managers and supervisors will learn how to:

  • INTERVENE rather than CONFRONT

A training video comedy, Painless Performance Improvement combines highly entertaining hosts with dramatic and realistic coaching moments. Supervisors will relate to scenes of management gone awry as well as employees' favorite excuses and sidetracks. Used with the accompanying Manager's Reference Guide, leaders will find this package an indispensable resource for improving the performance of their team.

Also Available:
The Practical Coach 2
Positive Discipline
Manager Moments: How to Excel in Tricky Situations

This entertaining program is filled with meaningful information that will change the way managers consider performance improvement discussions. The six-step process is a straightforward approach and will help alleviate the stress so often associated with performance improvement. My favorite thing about this funny and memorable program is its emphasis on behavior and how to keep emotion out of any performance discsussion. This program and the accompanying study materials will help managers feel prepared and confident when working with employees to improve their performance. I also like that this program is available in a workshop format as well as self-study.

  • Easy-to-remember process takes emotion out of performance improvement making it easier and less stressful for managers
  • Program is filled with practical ways to apply the process
  • Program is entertaining and funny
  • Practical answers to real-world questions is a value-added resource
  • The Q & A reference section is not readily available to self-study participants
4 out of 4 people thought the following review was helpful:
    Dave Maxwell - TRAX International
"Painless Performance Improvement" is a great training tool for out front line supervisors. The points were well taken and few - no problem holding our supervisors' interest. Best of all, the seemingly over-the-top characters dealt with situations and attitutes that are an every day facts of life for our blue and pink collar work force. Just the right balance of entertainment and serious, practical training!
Loretta Neaves - Site Manager - Southern Company
Good presentation and light enough not to create loss of interest, points clear and well organized. The relation between the hosts brought an interesting element to the presentation. Showing the wrong way and then the right way always lends a valuable visual in training. Great video - any manager would do well to provide this training to supervisors and lead persons as well.
Susan Ewing - Capital Blue Cross
Concrete, action oriented pointers; used humor to point out in a non-threatening way some of the really dumb things managers think and do!
