A recent study at the University of Cincinnati showed that 82% of Ouch! trainees had already used the Ouch! skills in their workplace interactions and personal lives within the last 3 months. The study also documented these trainees had a statistically significant increase in awareness of bias and stereotypes and a lasting positive change in their comfort and confidence to speak up using the Ouch! skills. The study also showed that trainees were more likely in the future to speak up against stereotypes and bias they encountered at work, home, and in social settings.
Unfortunately, stereotypes are not going away...
Staying silent in the face of demeaning comments, stereotypes or bias allows these attitudes and behaviors to thrive. This undermines our ability to create an inclusive workplace where all employees are welcomed, treated with respect and able to do their best work. Yet, most employees and leaders who want to speak up don't know how. So, we say nothing.
That's where the OUCH! That Stereotype Hurts! training comes in.
Based on the bestselling book, this video training workshop offers an innovative approach to educating your workforce in Diversity & Inclusion, Communication, Teamwork and Leadership.

"The simple act of naming a bias as such or objecting to it on the spot establishes a social atmosphere that discourages it: saying nothing serves to condone it." - Daniel Goleman
