The basic essentials to operating a forklift safely are required knowledge, but knowing where a crane can be operated is of equal importance. With the assistance of Forklift Basics: Safe From the Start your employees will learn that power-operated industrial trucks cannot be used in certain areas. Any area with an atmosphere containing hazardous concentrations of metal dust, including aluminum, magnesium, and their commercial alloys, other metals of similarly hazardous characteristics, or in atmospheres containing carbon black, coal or coke dust are off limits unless using an approved, power-operated industrial truck.
