“How was your day?” is a standard question posed at the end of the work day.  Rather than a stock employee response, “How Was Your Day?” uses memorable scenarios that inspire employees to openly discuss the often-avoided difficult topics and recognize their workplace responsibilities regarding:

  1. Overcoming UNCONSCIOUS BIAS
  2. Embracing DIVERSITY and INCLUSION
  3. Stopping HARASSMENT
  4. Standing up to BULLYING

"How Was Your Day?" is like getting 4 films for the price of 1. The topics of unconscious bias, diversity and inclusion, hostile work environment harassment and bullying are presented in separate, stand-alone modules. You can cover them all in one session, or choose to tackle them one or two at a time.  A diverse cast and wide range of workplace settings make the film extremely relatable and relevant to all types of viewers: from employees and supervisors to executives; for new hires and seasoned employees; and across any industry or government agency.

Here are a few of the subjects covered in the program:

  • Unconscious bias – what it is and how to overcome it
  • Diversity versus Inclusion
  • The “Rebuttal Brain” – how turning it off helps us listen to different ideas and opinions
  • Practical ways to build inclusion, including using the W.E.T. test
  • An explanation of hostile work environment harassment
  • Control tactics of bullies and what to do about them—whether the target is us or a co-worker

The film’s accompanying Leader's Guide and PowerPoint presentation provide an assortment of assessments and activities to augment and simplify the trainer’s job. The "Practical Answers to Tough Questions" Employee Handbook, offered in both print and digital formats, supplies a valuable resource that takes the guesswork, and some of the discomfort, out of tackling these difficult topics.

Media Partners has done it again. Using wisdom and humor, How Was Your Day? tackles four important (and sometimes sticky) topics companies face today. I appreciate the realistic workplace scenarios and the multi-cultural ensemble of hosts which really bring the challenges of bias, inclusion, harassment, and bullying to life. The modular structure also makes it easy to train and customize for the needs of my audience. I can pull employees out for shorter workshops by training 1-2 topics at a time.

  • Four separate modules offer flexibility.
  • Memorable learning points and self-assessments.
  • Detailed Leader’s Guide allows for training by topic and customization.
  • High production value and realistic scenarios keep my audience engaged - increasing learning and retention.

  • While excellent for employees, I'd like to see a version for managers.

At my company we have a very in-depth orientation for all of the new hires. Often times, we have in-field technicians who are NOT happy to sit in a chair all day [for the orientation] - the HR videos being the WORST part of the process for them. The only negative feedback I had in the almost two years of running the orientation was regarding the videos.

We went through many different films, but we selected "How Was Your Day?" and we could NOT be happier.  The feedback from new employees has completed shifted and we are very happy we made the switch. Very impressed with the personable, relatable, and realistic tone of this video.

Thank you!
