Trainer - Professional Trainer
In This Together gets viewers to think - really think - about respect and what it means. While harassment is defined, it is the thought-provoking discussion following the interactive question and answer format of this training program that offers the real training value. In This Together is a powerful training tool that gets learners talking a work environment that is free of harassment and full of respect.
PROS- By addressing issues of common courtesy and respect, this program offers a holistic approach to preventing harassment.
- For companies without structured anti-harassment policies, this program provides policies that make it easy to educate employees while offering a consistent message.
CONS- The Leader's Guide encourages employees to read handbooks at home and in so doing a valuable training tool is lost.

An honest and down to earth video that will hit home to everybody in a company from the newest employee to the most senior Team Leader.
This is a video any company could immediately incorporate into a new employee indoctrination, or use as a "refresher" for current employees that requires very little facilitator oversight.
The "survey" could be taken and used to give a business a report card on how their Team is doing (without names) and would allow focused training on areas which needed improvement.
The concepts and ideas presented in this video are made very simple, clear, and easy to understand. It made me reflect on how I do and go about "my business" at work every day.

The In This Together video is very accessible with diverse group of actors.
Harassment is introduced without a scare tactic or a lot of legal speak. Program is engaging, especially with the quiz which invites interaction.
Since the company I work for has professional, warehouse, and call center employees, I appreciate that all different work environments were represented, everything from retail to fast food to office to warehouse to hospital to office. My only complaint is the lack of actors representing older/handicapped demographic.

The acting was actually pretty good, the scenarios were believable, and the overall production was excellent. Some harassment videos, especially those concentrating on sexual harassment, can be pretty goofy, and cause the trainees to spend more time rolling their eyes than concentrating on the issues. I have used the In This Together video in several training programs and the reaction from the trainees has been very positive in all instances.

The content in this video is informative and eye-opening as sometimes people think that harassment is narrowly defined in terms of sexual harassment. We wanted people to see that speaking negatively about others can have a detrimental impact on the workforce and other's perceptions about them as well.

This is one of the better videos I have previewed. It meets most of my expectations. Each person has their own idea of what harassment is. I feel the In This Together video could be improved by showing examples of verbal harassment and how conflict resolution can be misinterpreted. But I would still use and recommend this program.
Kathleene Mahoney - Nash Finch Company
The video was very professionally done. It covered the issue of respect in a very down to earth way. I liked the fact that is was not preachy at all and made good common sense. It is a little light on the harassment piece for those training sessions that are driven by a need to do some corrective training once harassment has occurred. But, for everyday training is is well done.

I recently transferred within a large healthcare Corp. in Boston and viewed this program as part of my orientation. I found it very effective, especially being in a position of management. I came home and told my husband about this video. He is an administrator for another heathcare company and immediately ordered it for his entire work force as a refresher.
Audrey Calhoun - Training & Educational Development Supervisor
I really like the simplicity of this program. I plan to use it with some of our younger-aged, summer employees. It seems to be an excellent tool to express working productively together and avoiding/preventing harassing behavior (sexual or otherwise). Likewise, the handbook and leaders guide will probably serve as a useful resource for an level of trainer/facilitator. The program is also to the point - which will be useful for addressing either a time or attention-span concern. As for what I didn't like - and this is more a publishing/manuafacturing issue than the video itself - You have to purchase EVERY employee handbook and survey for distribution (the video is interactive and is based on answering a set of questions), rather than being able to reproduce it - at will, even if you purchase the program in its entirety.

The “We’re In this Together” training tool is by far the best of its kind! I first learned of it over four years ago while employed as the Labor Relations Supervisor for a unionized manufacturing firm. Presently I am the Human Resources Coordinator of a “for-profit” healthcare organization and intend to order a copy for our practice. The diverse cast and workplaces shown make this a good program for any workplace group and setting; from labor to professional. It presents real people in real life dilemmas and offers simple answers and solutions to solving or preventing problems. The lessons learned can be used at work, home and at play.
I have used it repeatedly during new employee orientation and annual compliance training and am still not tired of it!
