Safety Data Sheets: The Information Connection covers each of the sixteen sections of the standardized SDS and how to obtain the pertinent information employees need when they need it.
OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires chemical manufacturers, distributors, or importers to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), to communicate the hazards of hazardous chemical products. As of June 1, 2015, the standard mandates that new Safety Data Sheets be in a uniform format, and include the section numbers, the headings, and associated information under the proper headings as shown in this in-depth training.
